Fantastic quality and a very classic/conservative look that is becoming harder and harder to find. I bought one in grey and will by another in a different shade before they are all gone. Highly recommended for the individual looking for a "cut above" the average. Excellent value to boot!

It's not warm enough for winter weather, but is a great spring-weight coat.

By Muskeg Matt from Alaska on 11/28/2007 Pros: Attractive Design, Good Cut, Lightweight, Stylish, Versatile, Warm Best Uses: Bad Weather, Daily Use, Going Out Describe Yourself: Bargain Shopper, Conservative, High-end shopper Sizing: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This is the jacket I grab day after day to go out for just about anything not formal. It is light, classically fashionable, surprisingly warm for its weight, and looks great. The knit cuffs are springy and won't stretch out, you can either snap it up or zip it or both, and it has a high collar to keep your neck warm. The outside pockets feel weird when you put your hands in them, like they've been partly sewn up, but are plenty deep and look just fine from the outside.
For the nostalgic that yearn for simpler By Jack of no trades from Livermore, CA on 11/05/2007 Pros: Attractive Design, Authenic Harris Tweed, Durable, Good Cut, Lightweight, Versatile, Warm Best Uses: Bad Weather, Daily Use, Going Out, Travel Describe Yourself: Bargain Shopper, Casual, Conservative, High-end shopper Sizing: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This is classic material! It's scratchy, thin, and looks rough, but its strong, has character, blends well, has a black nylon lining like an old suit, and keeps you room temperature. It's the same original tweed that's been hand woven the same way for over 100 years in the Hebrides Islands of Scotland and certified by the Harris Tweed Authority. Check it out on wikipedia if you don't believe me! It's well worth the money to buy a quality product from these fine craftsmen in Scotland that are still around today. This is a real jacket! It's not being passed off as a real jacket like stuff made in China today. By the way, the brand of this jacket is Peregrine and it has the Harris Tweed Authority seal stitched on the lining.
