Comments: Nice looking, warm, dry, breathable. Good features. Good for town or country. Wouldn't want to mess it up tearing through brambles or other very tough use, but otherwise very good Northwest winter weather coat. I exchanged first coat for one size smaller: same sleeve length, but less bulky look and feel.

This really is a nice coat - warm and unusual looking. I'd forgotten it was corduroy until I stopped in to review it. It has a nice feel, but some serious quirks.
What happened to good zippers? Once it warms up some, I'm going to see about getting the zipper on this removed and replaced with a good quality, double ended YKK zipper. The buttons are well enough placed that - unless it's windy - they work well enough. I would have liked fasteners on the outside chest pockets - they tend to be where I prefer to carry things like palm pilots for ready access, and I could easily see the pockets' contents spilling out.
When I first tried it on, I thought I was going to be sending it back. Now, I figure I'll keep it and at least get the zipper addressed. The feel is nice and I like the warmth (better than an old LL Bean Maine Warden's Parka) and the feel.

Comments: Bought this for my hubby for Christmas and he loves it - padding protected him from a spill when skiing in the UP and it was nice and warm for him when we walked the dogs in a very cold Chicago lake wind.

Comments: Spent a day in the stand hunting in Scandinavia at 0C in light wind, minimum base layer, and over a sportcoat in the city for an evening out - excellent all around. The first coat I grab for most occassions.

This a great hunting jacket with style. It is perfect for an African Safari for the cool nights and chilly mornings and perfect for Wyoming/New Mexico deer hunts. I will be wearing this coat this November during a Texas deer hunt and let the foul weather come.
It is almost to nice to wear hunting. It is a great looking casual coat.
