By cozy from chicago on 03/29/2008 Pros: Attractive Design, Breathable, Comfortable, Durable, Light and swingy, Versatile, Warm Cons: Don't know about stains Best Uses: Church, Going Out Describe Yourself: Classic, Comfort-oriented, Practical Chest Size: Feels true to size Length: Feels true to length Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: For occasions when I dress a little nicer than in jeans--this isn't a coat for gardening in. Because it's made from very light fibers felted into loden, it's both light and warm. I thought at first my neck would get cold without a scarf, but the construction of the collar keeps me warm without needing to be swaddled.
By Brenda from San Mateo, CA on 03/01/2008 Pros: Attractive Design, Breathable, Classy and roomy enough t, Comfortable Best Uses: Casual Wear, Formal Occasions, Going Out Describe Yourself: Comfort-oriented, Conservative, High-end shopper, Practical Chest Size: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Roomy enough to wear clothes underneath the coat and still be comfortable. It feels lush and very expensive despite its reasonable price.

By grandma from Omaha, NE on 12/17/2007 Pros: Durable, Good Value, High Quality, Very appealing fabric Cons: Not Practical, Short swingy style, Silly on me Best Uses: Dressy occasions Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Excellent coat, but wrong for me.
Excellent value, very soft. By Grace from Los Gatos, CA on 10/19/2007 Pros: Durable, Good Value, High Quality Cons: Steam shipping wrinkles Best Uses: Events city work Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This coat is cut well. It has no shoulder seams,
a nice, subtle flare, concealed buttons and the
removable collar has concealed buttons, as well.
My arms are shorter than the norm. There is extra
material at the cuff to easily tack it up to the
proper length. Detail in craftsmanship is readily noticable. I normally wear a 12 bottom,
medium top, the size 8 US was sufficient with no
tightness (I, also, have smaller than the norm shoulders). Do not hesitate to make this purchase. You will pay hundreds more at any store for the quality.
By Anonymous from New York on 09/20/2007 Pros: Durable, Good Value, High Quality, True to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Beautifully cut, the coat falls well from the shoulders and creates a very pleasing line with pants, or skirts. The fabric is indeed premium but you should count on adding a sweater or jacket underneath for more warmth. (It's cut to accommodate layers and still move stylishly.) Excellent workmanship -- finely finished with satin bindings, hidden plackets, angled buttonholes, and good stitching. This is my second Steinbock purchase -- last winter, New Yorkers would stop on the street to ask where I got my coat. The quality stands out.
