Nice bottle... but no Nalgene
By cjo from CO on 7/1/2008
Pros:
Durable, Easy to Drain, No Plastic Taste
Best Uses:
Campgrounds, Day Trips
Describe Yourself:
Casual/ Recreational
Bottom Line:
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
Comments: This bottle is just fine. Lid strap doesn't turn freely when you unscrew the cap, which is pretty annoying. The flatter profile is great for narrow spaces (like the one between the car seat and the door). I'd recommend it for the price I paid.

Pros:
Durable, No Plastic Taste
Cons:
Cover hits me in the nose
Describe Yourself:
Casual/ Recreational
Bottom Line:

Comments: Wanting to do my part for the planet, I picked out this bottle to take to work. I find that it's a little awkward for the office--not a one-handed bottle. I have to use one hand to hold the cap away from my nose.

Pros:
Durable, Easy to Drain, Good Capacity, No Plastic Taste
Best Uses:
Campgrounds, Day Trips
Describe Yourself:

I am using this bottle to carry water around in for daily use. It seems durable and the capacity is excellent. The cap seals well but is a little hard to open and close. Perhaps this will improve as it gets broken in. I could detect absolutely no plastic taste.
Not a fancy bottle but an overall good value for the price.
By Out there in Illinois from Central Illinois on 5/24/2008
Pros:
Durable, Good Capacity, Good grip, No Plastic Taste
Best Uses:
Backcountry Camping, Campgrounds, Day Trips, River Trips, Survival
Describe Yourself:
Casual/ Recreational
Bottom Line:
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
Comments: Good product...my only concern is the '7' on the bottom..It's polycarbonate, and now they say we shouldn't be drinking out of that. I don't use this in the microwave or with hot water, so think the risk with cool water is minimal. I plan to keep using it until they come out with something more definite.

Pros:
Durable, Easy to Drain, Good Capacity
Cons:
Can be hard to close.
Best Uses:
Backcountry Camping, Campgrounds, Day Trips, River Trips, Survival
Describe Yourself:
Avid Adventurer
Bottom Line:
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
Comments: Lightweight but strong, easy to drink from. I like the reduced weight versus other plastic/lexan bottles. Can be a little hard to close, but I found that if you press down on the cap as you begin to close, the problem goes away.
World's Best Lexan Canteen
By Pagosa Slim from Pagosa Springs, CO on 5/5/2008
Pros:
Durable, Easy to Drain, Good Capacity, Good grip, No Plastic Taste
Best Uses:
Backcountry Camping, Campgrounds, Day Trips, River Trips, Survival
Describe Yourself:
Avid Adventurer
Bottom Line:
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
I recently took two of these with me on a backpacking trip into the Canyonlands, UT for several days. It is now basically the ONLY thing I will drink out of on future trips.
While it has a big enough mouth, it doesn't have as big of one as regular lexan type bottles which have mouths that I find are harder to drink out of. With the other bottles I end up spilling the contents on myself half the time. (OK, maybe my own problem!) But with the ULTIMATE lexan canteen, I didn't encounter that problem ONCE!
They're light, pack easy, and just have a tactile feel and grip on them that makes a person reticent for the old style of canteens.
Definitely the ULTIMATE canteen in my book!
kind of bulky but still useful

Pros:
Durable, Easy to Drain, Good Capacity, Good grip, No Plastic Taste
Best Uses:
Day Trips, Office
Bottom Line:
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
Comments: I use this bottle at the office. It holds 28 oz. and fits very well in the pocket of my purse due to its flatness. The mouth is sort of big, and the lid has to be unscrewed, but this is great for me as I hate sports lids. I really like this bottle.
By dvo from NYC NY on 4/8/2008
Pros:
Durable, Easy to Drain, No Plastic Taste
Best Uses:
Campgrounds, Day Trips
Describe Yourself:
Casual/ Recreational
Bottom Line:
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
Comments: Great bottle for the price. Useful for most recreational purposes. Has a large mouth for easy filling/draining out of pools. Only holds 1 liter so a little light for intense trips. Also the threads of the cap are large making it hard to thread iodinized water outdoors.
