coat is stiff & heavy, but looks like it would hold up well.

Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I love this coat, but the main zipper ripped out after a week. I had a YKK zipper sewn in (cost about the same as the coat), and I am doing great. I wear this all the time when it cools off. The hood does not fit well, but it zips off.

Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: The only downside for me was the main zipper. I'd prefer that it be larger and easier to manipulate. Frankly, I believe all parka-length jackets should have a "two-way" or "double" zipper that permits an otherwise zipped garment to be unzipped from the bottom. This facilitates sitting while wearing the garment.
