By Ms Functionality from Palmer, Alaska on 07/28/2008 Pros: Breathable, Durable, Lightweight, Lots of Pockets, Packable, Waterproof, Wind Resistant Best Uses: Backcountry, Cross Country, Running erands, To work Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Chest Size: Feels true to size Gear Usage: Cold Weather Living, Long rainy season Sleeve Length: Feels too short Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Very comfortable with nice roomy torso for layering. It was a bit shorter than I like but so functional in every way. We do much of our activities in the cold rain here. We also have a remote cabin, not reachable by road, so good comfortable wet gear is a staple. This does it all for me.

Light weight but seams show thru By Andine from Seattle on 06/24/2008 Pros: Breathable, Lightweight, Waterproof Cons: Messy look of sealed seam, Not Enough Pockets or Features Chest Size: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Great light weight and compact for travel & backpacking, but not so glam seams sealed underneath show through esp across the chest. If you can trade light weight for durability, I'm sure it would be ok. I am getting
something more conventionally built so that I can wear it to town. Pit zip
line ends with pockets, nice. Pits are very adjustable.
Not what I had hoped for. By Dragonfly Sam from Portersville, PA on 06/20/2008 Pros: Breathable, Durable, Lightweight, Lots of Pockets, Waterproof, Wind Resistant Cons: Doesn't fit very nice, Zipper can be tricky Best Uses: Backcountry, Cross Country Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Gear Usage: Cold Weather Living, Winter Sports Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: I purchased this jacket to replace the present one I have which is getting older. I was planning to wear the old one for outdoor activities and this new one for just running around, shopping etc. This jacket looks and feels as though it would definietly be wind and waterproof, but with it's fit and style, I wouldn't wear it into town for everyday running around. Also, it looks more like the coated nylon ones that you can buy at discount stores, rather than an expensive brand gore tex jacket. I also wish it was a little longer, especially since it is so wide.
By bob from sf,ca on 06/16/2008 Pros: Breathable, Lightweight, Waterproof Cons: Bulky cut for xs too lrg Describe Yourself: Advanced Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Comments: great weight and quality for price but jacket is bulky in the sleeves and torso for an xs woman
Good waterproof, breathable - maybe? By Weekend Adventure Racer from Danville, CA on 06/01/2008 Pros: Breathable, Durable, Lightweight, Waterproof Describe Yourself: Advanced Sleeve Length: Feels too long Bottom Line: Comments: I love this jacket, although it is way too big. I am sending it back for a smaller size. I am 5' 2" and from previous review thought it ran small. I will be using for biking and it was way to large for that purpose. I think the XS will work much better and will provide an update after I recieve.
