This makes a great layering piece; it is touchable soft and a piece you can be comfortable in.

Even the sea kayaking guide swore by them!
By kiki from st. pete, fl on 07/08/2008 Pros: Breathable, Lightweight, soft, Warm Cons: Inadequate Protection, Maybe not warm enough Best Uses: Casual Wear, Cold Weather, Hiking and Camping Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Chest Size: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I bought this because of positive reviews, good price, and listed weight (5 ozs!) for 5 days on the AT in GA. It was really soft, but so thin, I was nervous about it being my only warm top for the whole time. Not sure I would recommend in place of a normal fleece for cool evenings. Glad they only had an XL left, because I wouldn't have thought to buy it that big.
By tavi from Ogden, UT on 06/27/2008 Best Uses: Casual Wear, Cold Weather, Hiking and Camping Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Chest Size: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: The fit on this garment is relaxed or even loose-fit, which allows a for a layer underneath it. The length hits me at the top of my hip, and I'm pretty typical height-wise. Sleeves are just right length. The fleece is lightweight, soft, cuddly and looks to be of a high quality that will last through many washings and wearing. It is good for chilly mornings and layering.
Wish they still made this shirt, GREAT!! By NW Dad from Seattle, WA on 05/21/2008 Pros: Breathable, Durable, Lightweight, Warm Best Uses: Casual Wear, Hiking and Camping, Wet Weather Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Chest Size: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This is the 4th one that I have bought. The first 3 were for me and my wife kept saying that she wished her fleeces were exactly like mine (especially since I never stop wearing them). I finally bought her one and she loves it too. The fabric is light enough to be perfect for Saturday mornings on the couch yet warm enough to be an excellent base layer when going out. Sportif is missing the boat completely by not making these anymore. If you can find one, get it. I will have to start looking for the next supplier of the "perfect" fleece.
By webbizy from East Bay, CA on 05/07/2008 Best Uses: Casual Wear, Cool Weather Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Chest Size: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels too long Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Great for the early morning chill. Great for the price.
By Tigerlilly from Sussex, UK on 05/07/2008 Best Uses: Casual Wear, Cold Weather Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: This is good value for money - if you're short and wide. At 5'9 it was way too big horizontally for its size and, conversely, far too short in body length for me. I didn't feel it was as "fitted" as its photo suggested. The fabric feels soft and snuggly and it's thin enough to wear as a base layer or on chilly Summer evenings. Packs down to nothing so good for travel. If you're ok with the short body length, I'd order a size down.
Doesn't get softer than this By Beasley from Mahwah, NJ on 03/25/2008 Pros: Breathable, Durable, Lightweight, Warm Best Uses: Casual Wear, Cold Weather, Hiking and Camping Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Chest Size: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels too short Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Great little pullover. Super soft. Sleeves are a little short. O.K. at first, but once you push them up, they end up staying on the short side when you want to pull them down again. That aside, it's very comfortable.
By MA from Vashon, WA. on 03/05/2008 Cons: Not fitted enough baggy Best Uses: Casual Wear, Cold Weather, Hiking and Camping Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: used on cool winter days for casual wear. color is good. the fit is too loose. it would be more comfortable if it were more fitted.
