No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: I was so excited about these shoes! Turns out you can see any of the ugly details in the pictures: "lace" upper fabric, flower print on sides, laces don't adjust much. "Black" ones have a brown/green metallic sheen. They look like sausages from the top. They're comfortable enough, but seem more for everyday than running, etc.

Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: As a horticulturist I bought these to wear to work, but after receiving them I realized they would not hold up to the rigors of everyday wear. I did use them on a vacation out in Colorado where they got a real workout at the botanical garden and the Denver zoo, they were great for that. Wouldn't recommend for trails as there is no ankle support, but great for walking on solid surfaces.

Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I bought these in half size larger as recommended and they fit well. The leather parts have a subtle gold irridenscence to them and an embossed chrysanthemum on the back outside. They are much dressier and sleeker than I thought they would be and I wear them often.
