Great Winter Walking Shoes By Barbara S. from Ashland, OR on 11/16/2009 Pros: Absorbs Shock, Attractive Design, Comfortable, Durable, Flexible, Lightweight, No breaking in needed Best Uses: Everyday wear, Pavement, Running, Walking Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I first saw these shoes in another catalog priced at [$] I tried to get them at all the stores who stock New Balance in our area without success. I was delighted to see them advertized nearly forty dollars less from Sierra Trading. They are very comfortable, look good and are warm in the winter due to leather construction. I wear New Balance athletic shoes from spring to fall for walking so now I can wear them all year.
Could walk a hundred miles.... By Ochy Bala from NY, NY on 11/12/2009 Pros: Absorbs Shock, Attractive Design, Comfortable, Durable, FIRM, Lightweight, Stable Best Uses: Everyday wear, Pavement, Walking Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Very comfortable, stable, sole is not too flexible - too much flexibility can seriously injure the first metatarso-phalangeal joints, and these have just enough flexibility. Design is attractive, without too much nonsense and pleasant, neutral color that goes with everything.

Just what I was looking for By grannan from rural Vermont on 10/20/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Lightweight Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: These shoes are perfect "winter sneakers" for work. I am on and off my feet all day and these are very comfortable. I expect they will be fine to walk from house to car to office in an inch or two of snow. I ordered the wide ones for my wide feet and they fit very well. Some reviewed these as running small but I found them just right. Maybe women with longer narrower feet have problems.
By Comfortable walker from CT on 10/14/2009 Pros: Attractive Design, Comfortable, Flexible, Lightweight Best Uses: Pavement, Walking Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I ordered half size larger than normal because I wanted more toe space.
By GinnyAnn from Redwood Coast, CA on 10/11/2009 Pros: Attractive Design, Comfortable, Lightweight Best Uses: Pavement, Walking Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: The first time I wore these I did a pretty bold, hilly 5 mile walk both on pavement and dirt. I had returned my previous pair of another brand because my feet were sore after the first wearing. Didn't have that problem with these. I also love the fact that they are perfectly "dirt color".
