I think these run a little bit big. I got the small (4-6), my usual size and they are quite loose. I kept them but they definitely ride below my waist. My waist is not particularly well-defined so I am more apt to have problem with garment waists being too small rather than too big.
So, go figure - another reviewer thought that they ran small and still another thought they had a small waist to hip ratio - and I think the opposite in both cases!
Fabric is very light and soft and sort of fluttery. Very comfortable. I would define the color as more blue than purple. Longer length is nice.

Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I really like the fact that the waist fits. I have larger hips and a smaller waist and this fits really nice without all the gaping. I LOVE the fabric - it's really flattering and modern looking. These are my favorite shorts so far this spring.

No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: The color of these shorts is a dusty, dull lavender blue...sort of a slate blue.....not at all attractive to someone who likes bright or pastel colors.
