It turned out that they didn't have any in his size. I was really disappointed and didn't want to get the others they had as I didn't like the fabric. I was overjoyed to find them at Sierra Trading Post. These convertible pants look like regular khakis and are great for hiking, especially in California where the temperature changes by the hour!

These pants are close to perfect.

Material is heavier than some other hiking pants, but for the abuse I put them through, I like the thicker fabric. A thin cotton or nylon fabric would not survive. Pockets are very functional and zippers are great for comfort and durability. I'd buy another pair if they had my size.
