By Neil the Day Hiker from Montvale, NJ on 07/15/2008 Pros: High-Quality Material and Stitching Best Uses: Backpacking, Camping, Hiking Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: These pants, while not lightweight, are more lightweight than jeans. While not terribly stylish, they do fit well. And they are reinforced where you want them reinforced; for example, the knees. These are bush pants and they look like bush pants. Not sure I would wear these on a date. Just keep in mind one thing: Canvas is a species of cotton. If you're tramping through brambles, it's great. If you fall in a brook, you'll probably stay wet all day.
By Stew from Manhattan, KS on 07/01/2008 Pros: High-Quality Material and Stitching Cons: Does not fit my hips well Best Uses: Casual Wear, Fine casual work clothes, Hiking Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Fine pants that work well. My first purchuse of this brand. They don't fit me well in the hips, but that may just be me.
I've stockpiled these pants By Bear'sDad from Iowa on 06/30/2008 Pros: great color, Great fit, Stylish, Tough Cons: Pocket lining tears, Small front pockets Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I have four pairs of these pants - two pairs for wearing, and two pairs in reserve in case the others ever wear out. They have replaced my jeans for everyday wear, and are tough enough for heavy outdoor activity. My only complaint is that the front pockets are small and made with a mesh material that can be torn by keys.
This is the third pair I've purchased. These have become my go to favorites for casual use.

By QuantumSam from Maryland on 04/03/2008 Pros: High-Quality Material and Stitching, Stylish Cons: Bulky, Loses Elastic, Not Enough Pockets or Features Best Uses: Backpacking, Camping, Casual Wear, Cold Weather, Hiking Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend am a casual hiker working my way up to more adventurous stuff. I bought these pants to replace my official, but ill-fitting, Boy Scout uniform trousers and wore them for the first time during a winter camping expedition with my Boy Scout Troop.
These pants are the best fitting, most comfortable jean-type pants I have every owned. Period. I hiked a couple of miles in them, did some work involving a lot of kneeling, and ultimately slept in them (it was 25 degrees F that night). I can't rave enough.
So I have bought another pair in khaki and would love to get one in denim blue (olive is nice, but I neeed some other colors).
