By momof3runningaround from idaho on 02/21/2008 Pros: Comfortable, Cute, Durable, Stable Cons: Not waterproof, Stains Easily Best Uses: Casual Wear, Snow covered Streets Describe Yourself: Comfort-oriented, Stylish Sizing: Feels half size too big Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Been looking for a higher casual boot to wear in the streets during/after snow without having to don my buff Sorrels. These boots seem like they fit the bill, however, it appears that I will have to apply nik-wax to waterproof them. They are wide enough to stuff your jeans into and still look very stylish/trendy. The footbed is very well cushioned too; lifted off the floor a bit so I suspect that they should be well insulated to a certain point. Found these in the bargain cave as someone else returned them and found that they apparantly stain quite easily as I noticed several dirty marks and possible light pen mark. For the price, though, and what/how I would be using them I couldn't pass them up. Mine are 8 1/2 and I wear 8 1/2-9 depending on make. There is toe room. I'd say my foot in on the wider side of "medium" and these are VERY comfortable width wise (is it because someone else broke them in? don't know). They are a little loose which is fine with me. I live in Snowy environment and there is plenty of room to wear thick wool socks if I need to. Haven't had a chance to nik-wax and really test 'em out in the snow yet - but I am confindent because of the brand and my experience with the born brand.
Very Comfortable and Stylish, Run Large By Montana Rose from Bozeman, MT on 01/06/2008 Pros: Breathes Well, Comfortable, Cute, Durable, Unique Cons: Feels 1/2 size too big Best Uses: Casual Wear, Cold weather casual Describe Yourself: Comfort-oriented, fashion conscious, High-end shopper, Stylish, Trendy Sizing: Feels half size too big Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I wear these for all weekend errand running in Montana winter--very practical and cute. The only drawback is, these felt 1/2 size too large out of the box and, after a few wears, now they feel a full size too large from the leather breaking in. I have to wear very thick socks. These are my first Born shoes--usually I wear less comfortable, trendy brands, which seem to run a little smaller, but I will definitely buy more Born from now on, just a size smaller!

By SavvyShopper from North Carolina on 11/29/2007 Pros: Comfortable, Cute, Durable, Stable, Warm Best Uses: Casual Wear, Cold Weather, Travel Describe Yourself: High-end shopper, Stylish Sizing: Feels full size too big Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Great boot at a fraction of the original cost. They do, however run really big. I own 3 other pairs of Born boots, all size 9. I bought these in an 8.5 and they are too big. I needed an 8 but they are sold out. An insole will have to do. Highly recommended!!!
Sublime boots, order 1 size down By Hillary from Bay Area, CA on 11/29/2007 Describe Yourself: Comfort-oriented, Stylish Sizing: Feels full size too big Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: My basic shoe wardrobe consists of Keen sandals and Born boots and clogs. This pair is absolutely stunning, beautifully made from luxurious materials. They run so large that I regret not returning my size 10s for a 9 1/2 or even a 9. I wear them with thick socks, but they still feel floppy on my feet. I was simply too impatient to wear them when they arrived, but really do wish I'd gotten the right size now, because I wear them all the time. I have other Borns that fit true to size, so it may only be this style that runs so large. But I may end up buying them again in the right size, that's how great they are.
