No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: I bought these shorts in desert sage and loved them. So I bought the khaki in exactly the same size. Completely different fit. The sage were classic fit & sat at my waist. The khaki are low riders and even after moving over the button, I can't keep them up. Very disappointed.

Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I would like to own more hemp because of the environmental factor. When I find something affordable, I snap it up. These shorts are cold/gentle wash, which surprised me, although I don't mind the extra care. The fit is not too small, but is very snug from the waist all the way down through the thighs. Sizing on women's clothes is always hit-or-miss though. They are fine for me as a SAHM, but I don't think I could leave the house in them until I lose some more baby weight. In the photo, they look as though they flare a bit at the very bottom, but mine are a very straight cut.

I'm wearing them right now! Very comfortable shorts -- rugged enough for the trail, contrast stitching adds a stylish detail for casual wear.
Fabric's a little dressier than denim -- has almost a linen look.
I think these will wash & wear very well & be a favorite for a long time.
May order another couple pairs....
