Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: These are the most reasonably priced cotton shorts I have found. They are light weight, thus ideal for backpacking and the side cargo pockets have button closures to keep contents from falling out. The elastic waistband adds comfort to an already comfortable pair of shorts. The inseam is shorter than many of today's styles, but that allows more freedom of movement for activities such as hiking/backpacking without binding your thighs.
