By Karl_UTMB from Austin, TX on 03/02/2008 Pros: Durable, Four-Way Stretch, High Quality, Lightweight Best Uses: Alpine Routes, Comfort-Oriented, Hiking, Mountaineering, To School Describe Yourself: Adventurous Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I took the advice of previous reviewers and purchased a size larger than my expected size. Typically I wear a medium (I have a 33 waist), however, I bought the Large and it was a good decision. The waist is large, but the pants fit tight around the upper thighs.
As far as the quality, I think these are the best hiking pants I have purchased. I like brands such as Mountain Hardwear and Marmot, so they are up there with those brands. I haven't tried the Arc Teryx soft shell pants, but they are around $300. Nothing beats the price and quality of these pants.

They fit well, but I did have to get them in XL. I use a 36 waist and most of the time use Large but Large was a bit tight has to get an XL.
strong, lightweight, stretch By queequeg from Hawaii on 01/03/2008 Pros: Comfortable, Durable, Lightweight, Soft Material, Stain Resistant, Wrinkle-Free Describe Yourself: High-end shopper, Stylish Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Perfect! I can't stress that enough. Purchased for mountain hiking, so needed strong, stretch, and bad weather resistant. All four these pants are, and the cut is great. Close fit but loose in the right places, articulated knees. Look great enough for town too.

I like the snug, comfortable fit with the size "L" I bought. Great fabric, stretchy, very comfortable. The leg zippers are a bellows style with snaps to adjust pant ankle tightness with zipper zipped. Great Pants!

I usually wear a 38" waist and had to buy a XXL in these pants. They fit fine, I usually wear XL in Arcteryx/Cloudveil pants.
