I just ordered more pairs. However, could be a little too thick for for use in really hot weather.

lovely light squeeze on my calves By none from Missoula, Montana on 03/28/2008 Pros: Comfortable, Good Design, Regulates Temperature Well, Wicks Away Moisture Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I need an over the calf sock to support my calves during a typical 12 hour work day on concrete. These are lovely. They do run small, for a size 11 foot chose the xlrg.
By none from Missoula, Montana on 03/18/2008 Pros: Comfortable, Good Design Best Uses: Backpacking, Daily Use, Work Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I like the over the calf length. My legs get achy after a 12 hour shift on concrete. The long support helps keep the aching to a minimum. The extra large which are supposed to be for size up to 13 are just right for my size 11 foot. I returned the large pairs I originally ordered. They were too small.
By Mountain Man from Northern Md. on 03/16/2008 Pros: Comfortable, Durable, Good Design, Regulates Temperature Well, Wicks Away Moisture Best Uses: Backpacking, Daily Use, Hiking, Mountaineering, Team Sports, Travel Describe Yourself: Professional Guide Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Thorlo makes geart products and I've been using them for years. These socks need alittle extra room in your boots, so don't wear them in tight fitting footear. Also turn them iside out and add fabric softner when washing and they will last a long time and retain their cushioning effect.

I really think these socks rock. I work long days and they wick well, protect my ankles from chafing and fill in the bulky boots. I'm ordering more.
