Extremely comfortable, held up to the first wash very well. We will see about overall durability in a few months, I tend to wear holes through the toes of most socks relatively quick, so we will see.
By Daily Walker from Round Rock, TX on 08/05/2008 Pros: Comfortable, Good Design, Regulates Temperature Well, Wicks Away Moisture Best Uses: Daily Use, Fitness walking, Hiking Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I've been wearing these socks during my daily walk/run and they are the best socks I've ever worn! They have just the right amount of cushioning on the ball of the foot and the back of the ankle where you need it, and are thin and breatheable everywhere else. The knit-in arch support is very comfortable and hugs the foot for a perfect fit. The toe seam doesn't rub or chafe at all, which has been a problem with every other sock I've tried. The best feature of these socks is that they feel soft and do an excellent job of wicking moisture away from my feet so they stay cool, dry and comfortable. They machine wash and dry easily, without any shrinking. After trying my first pair of Bridgedale's, I was so impressed that I immediately ordered two more pairs. I plan to order a few more so I'll be stocked up. I always bought cheaper socks before and didn't know what I was missing. As with many other things in life, you get what you pay for. These socks are definitely worth the extra money!

I was very pleased with the feel of these socks and how cool they have been in hot weather. I'm ordering more and will not be using socks of lesser quality any more. I'm on my feet all day and these socks feel as good when I take them off at the end of the day as when I put them on in the morning.
Didn't know 2nds meant having holes By flossie94 from Lower Michigan on 07/16/2008 Cons: Small holes on ankle rib Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: Bought these for my guys who are hiking the A.T. Ended up sewing two small holes together (on each pair). Needed to send off ASAP. figured 2nds meant discoloration. Everything else I've bought from you has been just fine. Just have to stay away from the 2nds.
By Ohio Chris from Dayton, OH on 07/03/2008 Pros: Comfortable, Good Design, Regulates Temperature Well, Stylish, Wicks Away Moisture Best Uses: Backpacking, Daily Use, Hiking, Travel Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I've only worn these socks a couple of times for rock scrambling but they felt great. Extra padding fell right wear it should and my feet were not sweaty in the least when I removed them. I like these so much that I went back and purchased two more pair. I wear a size 10 but ordered the medium (8-9.5) and this is definitely the way to go if you are on the cusp. I will most definitely be wearing these over my 4th of July backpacking trip. I would recommend anything Bridgedale produces -never a dissapointment.

By Woodland Woman from Mequon, WI on 06/23/2008 Pros: Comfortable, Good Design, Regulates Temperature Well, Wicks Away Moisture Best Uses: Daily Use, Hiking Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I need a lighter weight sox as my feet are wide and high and bulky socks make my shoes tight. These are great. Cushioning where you need it and light weight where you don't. Firm elastic holds top of the sock in place nicely. My feet kept cool and comfortable hiking the North Shore of Lake Superior.

With both, they provided much-needed cushion without being bulky or hot.
