These long underwear pants are quite thick- about as heavy as sweatpants but fit somewhat tighter and better fabric. I bought them to wear under my ski pants on very cold days and they seem like they will work well for this.They would be too thick for wear under jeans but they would work well as a base layer under coveralls or any other loose heavy outerwear.
