I bought this for my wife after using this top from September 2007 to May 2008. It is as advertised.
I've used this top of both of its reversible sides on a trip a few times and there is a telling difference in the warmth provided, Lowe's advertising claims a 30% difference from side to side.
This is my go to baselayer when the temperatures are 45 to 25 F.

Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I needed a base layer to keep me warm while watching outdoor sporting events. This shirt is soft at the back of the neck and keeps me warm without ever getting too hot. It's a great base layer that's not too bulky. When I get home I keep wearing it around by itself because it's so comfortable. It never makes it to my closet. As soon as it's clean again, I put it back on!
