Good thin gaiter

Cons:

Describe Yourself:

Sizing:
Feels true to size
Bottom Line:
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
Comments:
This gaiter will be great for me when I am biking to work. At three dollars, it was an amazing bargain. Highly recommended for people that need some face and neck protection, but don't want a bulky facemask. Did seem to retain a little chemical smell even after a wash, but it's barely noticeable.

Comments:
Wore for the first time on a 10 hour hike in the mountains of NC. It kept me warm at the top of the mountain in temps in the 30s and ~30mph wind and was able to be pulled away from the neck at lower elevations where it was not as windy or as cold. I wore it the entire hike just adjusting it for the conditions at the time and did not have to worry about if falling off like a scarf. Highly recomended over a scarf

For the price paid after all the discounts I'm glad I have it, but it really isn't all that much. Not all that warm or soft, but it does block the wind.

Comments:
Use winter bike commuting. Less claustrophobic than a balaclava, easier to keep over face than a scarf. Pull down to talk / drink coffee; up to ride. Nice color (olive). Bought a blue one as well, but the blue was fleecy on outside. Green is smooth. I'll buy more when I lose these ;-)

Huh?
By Yoga GalVerified Reviewer from Fort Collins, CO on 11/30/2008
Pros:
Dries Easily
Cons:
Poor Fit
Sizing:
Feels true to size
Bottom Line:
No, I would not recommend this to a friend
Comments:
This looked like an interesting idea, but it just didn't seem to come together. Maybe it should have come with instructions on how to use it. The fabric seems like it would resist wind and shed water easily. However, it's not terribly stretchy, so you can picture a cylinder bigger than your head bagging awkwardly around your neck. Very strange! And, it's not soft and fuzzy... Maybe you're supposed to wear it over a fuzzy scarf? I tried it on as a "solo" item, and just couldn't make heads or tails of it, as it didn't feel warm and soft and there was so much air I didn't imagine it'd feel great in the cold.
