Something that need pointing out is that by "diferential cut" the manufactures are trying to say "the bottom is rediculously thin." Without straps to secure you to your pad this bag is about as worthless in colder temperatures as a bed sheet so straps are obviously a must. I love the foot zipper in this bag it makes warmer nights just perfect as you can poke your feet out the bottom when you are to hot and pull them back in when you are cold. The foot zipper also opens a world of in-sleeping-bag-walking options... just pull the bag up past your knees and you can waddle like a penguine any where you like.
