All round all season pant By Northern Lass from Burns Lake, BC on 12/14/2008 Pros: Breathable, Comfortable, Durable, High-Quality Material and Stitching, Lightweight Best Uses: Cold Weather, Cross country skiing, Hiking, Mountaineering, Trail running Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I just got back from a long trail run in -27C. I am so impressed with the warmth, comfort and durability of these pants I had to write a review. These are the pants I take for cold weather activities and they've kept me warm. They are durable, windproof and feel good against bare skin. I'm a size 7 and the mediums fit me perfect. I have a 34" inseam so it is nice to finally find a pair of pants with a longer inseam.
By somewhere from Maryland on 12/02/2008 Pros: Breathable, Comfortable, High-Quality Material and Stitching, Packable Best Uses: Backpacking, Camping, Hiking Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I first got a size Small but they fitted too big on my waist. And since the build-in belt is not very strong, I decided to give XS a try. XS turns out to be too tight on my butt area and I have a really slim build around waist and behind (I usually wear size 0 in jeans). I really liked the length that long enough to reach my boots (I'm 5'7") and the zip out gaiter feature. So I gave the size S another try by walking in the woods in my backyard. It was around 50 degree and my legs were already feeling cold. I was expecting better insulation for the weight of the pants. And the Driftwood color I have got dirty easily. So I sent both pants back and keep looking for a pair of softshell pants that fits wear and light weight.
Feels like a second skin! By Dakota Hills from Lead, South Dakota on 12/01/2008 Pros: Breathable, Comfortable, High-Quality Material and Stitching, Lightweight, Packable Best Uses: Backpacking, Camping, Casual Wear, Cold Weather, Hiking Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I bought the Mountain Hardwear Navigation Pants for snowshoeing and winter hiking. It is cold and windy in my area this time of year so I do wear a base layer underneath. They move like a pair of tights and look stylish as well. Look forward to spring and summer hiking in these!

By Squirrel Girl from Seattle, WA on 11/08/2008 Pros: Functional, High-Quality Material and Stitching, Lightweight, Packable, Stylish Best Uses: Backpacking, Hiking, Snowshoeing Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I have only used these pants twice so far: once hiking in warm weather and once hiking in the rain. They were awesome in the rain because they were not too warm like most rain pants, but still shed the water well. They were much too hot for my hike in 70 degree weather (oddly enough in mid-October) even when vented. I think they will be great this winter for snowshoeing. I love how flexible and comfortable they are and they look great too! The only downside is that I've already lost the scree guards...maybe they shouldn't have made that feature removable.

These pants protect well against elements and thorns. I would happily buy them again.
