Comments: I bought these shoes because I needed something for my every day dog walks. I have back problems, and since I bought my first pair of Merrell's, walking and standing isn't nearly as painful as it was before. Great stability and the large base gives me great balance. I bought another pair as soon as I got the first pair and will probably get more just to keep in the closet. Merrell shoes and boots are what I wear 90% of the time. I have some that are 5 years old, and they are just as comfortable as day 1.

I purchased these as replacements for the exact same shoe - that I purchased retail a year ago. My older ones are well worn and needed to be replaced. At this price, I'm considering getting another to have as a backup. (I don't like the color scheme being used on the latest models.)
I have become very accustomed to the speed lace system that I won't consider a recreational pair of shoes without them. (I would still want old-school laces for serious running shoes and hiking boots.)
