Comments: I got these for Christmas gifts because the kids had a bunch of new snow gear coming and needed some fillers for stocking stuffers. Didn't think they'd be anything to write home about, but they always get cold feet when the snow falls into their boots. They kept the kids warm and did a good job of wicking away moisture while they played in the snow for hours. And the kids think they're pretty cool too. Can't tell they are 2nds.

Comments: SmartWool is a great all around sock, so when I was looking for ski socks it was an easy decision. My kids are picky and they don't mind the wool in them. They have been great for ice skating as well.

having a child with a disability it is important to have specific items that work for my child's size, and works well with his orthodics. these socks are warm and yet not too thick. they are easy to get on and it is comforting to know that his feet will be warm.
it encouraged me to buy some for myself and now i KNOW that his feet are warm!!

Comments: The only "negative" about these socks is that my seven year-pld sometimes doesnt get them on right and I have to correct the placement of the heel. Unlike with cotton socks, the wool ones are fahsioned so that there is a correct place for the heel to hit the foot. For this reason, you can't extend the life of these socks past when they actually fit, either :-). I buy as many Smartwool socks as I can afford for the entire family each winter because there is nothing like these wool socks to keep little and big feet warm when you are outdoors in the winter. We live in the country and spend quite a bit of time outside regardless of the weather conditions. [...] I know other families who do the same every year.
