By Dakota from Texas on 12/29/2008 Pros: Arch Support, Comfortable/No Break-In, Stabilizes Foot Best Uses: Everyday, Mixed Terrain Describe Yourself: Outdoor educator, Recreational Walker/Hiker, Trail Jogger Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I heard about these shoes long before I ever tried on a pair, and they came highly recommended to me. When I found my size, I was unsure how other styles by Salomon would fit my quirky size 10.5 women's feet, but decided to take a risk with a sale pair. I was not disappointed! Right out of the box the shoes fit as though they were made for me. They are surprisingly lightweight considering the wear-and-tear they can withstand. I work on a challenge course and these shoes put up with staple climbing several times a day, the rocky terrain of Texas, and my trail running after work. I only wish I had bought another pair! My only concern with these shoes is the lacing system. Although I find it quick and efficient, I hope it can also withstand my vocation.

I wanted a shoe that would help with my pronation and be very supportive on pavement and uneven terrain and this shoe fits the bill. I do put my orthotics in the shoe and they fit perfectly and work well with the existing arch support.
