Great construction, durable materials, arms are longer than normal which is great for tall people, torso could be longer in proportion to the arms, wind break is so-so, very tough to beat for the price.

Comments:
This is a really good looking jacket. I bought the rust color - it is distinctive and stands out from the crowd of black/gray/blue fleeces that everyone has but it's not shocking - I've received a couple compliments already. I've worn it a couple of times in cool/breezy/drizzly conditions and it does a good job of blocking the wind and doesn't seem to absorb any water. It definitely provides better protection than your average polar fleece jacket. It's warm but not an oven so it transitions from outdoors to inside very comfortably. Pit zips would be a nice touch, but there is a stretchy nylon-type fabric in that area that I assume will breathe adequately. As other people have commented, the fit is on the snug side, particularly the arms and through the chest. I am 6' tall, about 163 lbs (pretty thin) and have a medium. The material stretches substantially and easily though, so whether I have just a t-shirt or a shirt and light sweater on underneath, it feels about the same and freedom of movement is not restricted. Might want to go a size up if you can find it (no L available for me). The sleeves are slightly on the long side - I wear 34" sleeve shirts and these are maybe 1/2" longer than perfect. It has a "motorcycle" type cut with the bottom of the front just below the belt line and a little longer in back. The design of the jacket keeps it from riding up when I lift my arms. The collar is high to block the wind - comes up just below my chin - but is soft and there is a liner to protect you from the zipper. Overall, a good fleece layer.

Strange Sizing
By kinsykinsVerified Reviewer from Fairfield, CT on 10/02/2008
Pros:
Attractive Design
Cons:
Poor Fit
Sizing:
Feels true to size
Sleeve Length:
Feels too long
Bottom Line:
No, I would not recommend this to a friend
Comments:
Nice looking jacket but the fit is odd. I heeded the other review and ordered a size up. Body fit fine but sleeves were so long they covered almost the entire length of my hands. If you have longer arms, this jacket will be fine. I wear a 16x34 dress shirt and the XL sleeves were at least a 36-37.

This is an excellent jacket. Although the sleeve length appears a little long, this does not take much away from the good design. It has well positioned number of pockets and feels overall of good quality.

Body / sleeve cut tight. Sleeve length is perfect. Underlayers must be close-fitting to wear under this jacket
