Comments: The only problem with this shoe is that it isn't being made anymore. I'm already getting depressed at the thought that I won't be able to buy this shoe anymore-this is my fifth pair. Always the same size, always the same great shoe.

Sizing:
Feels half size too small
Bottom Line:
No, I would not recommend this to a friend
Comments: Unfortunately, I decided to return the shoes. The right foot was comfortable, but the left was too tight in the toes. The inside seam in the tip was causing discomfort. I was tempted to try a larger size, but thought the right shoe might then be too big.

Comments: There are no "cons" for me with this shoe. If you have narrow feet Merrells are probably not for you, unless you wear heavy socks. This shoe has great cushioning in the heel which is important to me. I Nordic Walk on concrete and asphalt in an urban setting. Stability and cushioning are critical and this shoe does it for me. Highly recommended!

Comments: The website description said these shoes run large and to order half size smaller. I did this and had to return the shoes (at my expense) because they were too short. I reordered my normal size and they are just right. I really like these shoes for day hikes and walking the dogs in damp weather. The price was right too.

Comments: Merrells make great products, but these are a bit stiff. They could also use a higher arch support, and a little more room for the big toe - the shoes go at the joint into the toe box with a little too much angle. Time will tell if this is a problem or not. Otherwise, they're really well made, look spiffy, and fabulous traction.

Comments: I bought these shoes to use in a rainforest trip to Panama, and they held up great. I'm really happy with the purchase. They do run a bit big. I am usually a 7.5 and I wound up going with a 7. I went on several long day trips and I never noticed an ache in my feet. They were extremely comfortable and I can't wait to take them with me on another adventure!

Comments: These are great, general walking/working shoes. I wear them when I walk the dogs, do yard work, or clean up around the house. I can put them on and forget about my feet, which give me trouble if I go barefoot for too long or wear flimsy shoes. One thing, though: I always put sole inserts ($25 at the local runner's store) into my walking shoes. One set of inserts has lasted through 3 pairs of Merrell boots so far. I suspect, though, that if you don't have troublesome feet like mine, the Merrell soles would be just fine. My previous Merrell boots have not been waterproof. The descriptions says these are, which would be a big improvement. I live in Arizona, though, and will have to wait for rain to find out!

Comments: I have a minor amount of arthritis in my feet and need to wear a shoe with a good, stiff sole. I have found these shoes to really help. I am a day hiker, and after trying my first pair of this particular Merrell, I was sold! I have gone through five pairs now. Very good shoe for the money!
