This causes a hump that could cause someone to trip on the rug. I'm keeping it because I don't want to pay shipping to return it.

It does not have a very thick pile and seems a bit flimsy. The upside, I suppose, is it won't take up as much space in the washer and will be quick to dry, but I haven't washed it yet. I have yet to see how durable it is.
