Outdoor enthusiasts have trusted their comfort to Marmot clothing, packs, sleeping bags and tents for the last 30 years. Marmot was one of the first in the United States to fortify outdoor gear with Gore-Tex® revolutionary, waterproof breathable technology and remains Gore’s oldest customer in the world outdoor market. In 1976, Marmot’s college student co-founders spent seven nights in a commercial meat locker, testing prototype sleeping bags with and without Gore-Tex®. They were also known to test clothing under fire sprinklers. And while their testing methods may have grown more sophisticated, they haven’t lost sight of their goal to make the highest quality performance gear that is simple, easy to use, comfortable, durable, and the lightest weight possible. |

Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: These are great jackets, especially at the well-below-a-hundred that I paid for it. However the sizes run a bit big. Normally I wear a large in most jackets -although I run right between the large-medium a lot of the time as a size 43. This jacket fits me very well in the medium size.

After reading the previous reviews I was scared about the fit. I am 6'2" and 140lbs (15x35 dress shirt size)...so yeah, I'm lanky. I ordered a large even though I typically wear a medium and it was perfect. The arm length was perfect for me, it is not too baggy around the chest and stomach, and the length stops an inch below my belt line.
I wore this to an outdoor festival that received 2 inches of rain. It works. I cant say the same for my Levi's though.
The only con is that it is made from a very thin material that seems easy to snag or rip. I haven't done so yet, but I'm sure to be careful when I'm wearing it.
