The HH Fjord jacket is made for SAILING, not winter sports. It is made for the type of ocean sailing where you don't get out of your gear for 24 hours. That's why the material is indeed bulky as it is made to endure salt water which is quite aggressive. I am only mentioning this as a few other buyers have commented on this.

Excellent jacket for sailing, not winter sports. Colours are great and unusual. Nice to see an alternative to the usual white, blue, red.
