By Matt the Californian from East Bay, CA on 09/09/2008 Pros: Good Capacity, Strong Material, Tight Closure, Waterproof Best Uses: Adventure Racing, Backpacking, Paddling, Sailing Describe Yourself: Competitive Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Great product. Used mine on a couple of kayaking expeditions, and no problems whatsoever. Should great as a sleeping bag stuff sack for your larger bags (3 1/2+ lbs).
Backpackers would probably be better served getting the medium size GG bag, as these these things can get bulky in a hurry when they are full, making them harder to pack.

I'm able to put my lightweight summer down bag in here, strap it on the bottom of my smaller thru-packs, and then not have to worry if I encounter few rain showers on the trail.
The size is great for backpacking too. The L and XL bags get a little bulky if you stuff them full -- I use those larger sizes for when I go kayaking.

My little GG bag works just fine. The GG stuff sacks are only rated waterproof to 200 psi. So if you want something that you can completely submerge into water, you might look for a different kind of dry bag. But for general waterproof care, I highly recommend them. They are light and do the job. Same goes for the larger sizes as a well. I bought one of each, and they come in handy
