Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I bought two pair of these shorts and then more recently ordered a third. I live in a hot humid area and spend a lot of time around small boats. These shorts are perfect for that environment. For sailing, they are very comfortable but the material would be too thin for sitting on cleats and other hardware. My only complaint is that the belt sometimes gets twisted in the belt tunnel - not a big deal.
