When you need quality, comfortable work boots, Carolina is built for the task. Their industrial-use shoes are designed to meet and exceed ANSI standards. All use hand-sewn Opanka construction and UltraWelt® seams for maximum flexibility and minimum weight. Gel Cell® polymers reduce heel strike while cushioning the foot. Carolina Shoe worked with podiatrists to create 4-Comfort technology, a four-layer cushioning system. They were also one of the first work boot companies to incorporate anti-bacterial moisture management inside their work boots. Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: (Even though I said "Feels a half size too big", that's actually the way I like it! I hate tight clothing.) I use these as riding boots on my motorcycle. They are high enough above the ankle to provide the protection I want, and the steel toe is added insurance for other circumstances such as work. You just can't beat this boot for the price!
