order more than one to be sure By English Rider from Maryland on 12/08/2009 Pros: Attractive Design, Durable, Good Length, Soft, Warm Best Uses: As A Fashion Accessory, Casual Wear, Cold Weather, Formal Events, Going Out Describe Yourself: Casual Dresser Gear Usage: Cold Weather Living Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Because of the great price, I ordered a number of these in different colors for gifts. I discovered that the softness of the shawls varied noticeably from one shawl to another. This may explain the variety of contradictory comments in previous reviews. The softest shawls were silky soft. The least soft did not feel like cashmere at all. Hence I suggest ordering more than one, and returning any non-soft shawl. The colors are beautiful. I use them for warmth, or to dress up, or for cover ups when I travel by air(since they rarely give out blankets any more!) They are light and large enough to really cover up. I also find that they wash up beautifully by hand, in spite of the dry clean label. Just wash as you would any fine woolen: warm water, gentle detergent, squeeze suds through and never wring or agitate. Line dry and iron with warm iron if wrinkled.
By shira from cambridge, ma on 12/04/2009 Pros: Attractive Design, Durable, Good Length, Soft, Warm Best Uses: As A Fashion Accessory, Formal Events, Going Out Describe Yourself: Classic Dresser Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: A beautiful piece, very substantial material, and very soft. You can use it as a small blanket, it's so generously sized. It is high quality pashmina and the price can't be beat.
