I fall right between the two sizes as shown in the size chart, and I'm glad I sized up.
I think the short cut through the body mentioned by other reviewers is more of a design choice than a flaw; a lot of modern sweaters are placing the rib knit hem at the waist, and not at the hip. I like this cut - it flatters me, and makes me look like I have more of a waist than I do (I'm rather straight through the middle). But if you prefer more coverage over the waist and hip, then you probably won't like the cut.
Issues of cut aside, this is a really nice sweater, soft and not at all itchy, with a good drape and well-finished seams. Maybe it's not for everyone ... but I love it, and I'll be buying more colors.

I thought for a moment I might have it on backwards or something. Also, it's too short waisted for my druthers. Also, it's scratchy, though maybe that will go away after a washing. I'm a big fan of August Silk, but this one's a miss.

I agree with the previous poster that it's a wide V, and yes, deeper than some v-necks, but not to the point of needing to worry about which undergarments you're wearing.
And yes, it's a shorter "high-hip" length. But I'm 5'10" and it's not problematic... just a question of what you're expecting.
