On all surfaces it is quiet as a mouse without the squeak! I like this shoe so much I bought the brown suede also . I feel that even though they are pricy they are a good value.

The first time, my heel was chaffed abit because I am closer to a size 8 but only size 7.5 was available. Since it's suede, it does form to your feet somewhat. I tried it a second time and was pleasantly surprised - I was able to wear it for almost the whole day without any problem. I can't wait for cold weather!
